Socially vulnerable populations in West Roxbury are low-to-no income households that rent, do not have a high school education, have limited English proficiency, and are people of color (r = 0.764, P < 0.05). West Roxbury has the largest percentage of older adults, however, this was not correlated with social isolation. Although West Roxbury has groups of socially vulnerable populations, they do not exist in large numbers. This neighborhood had the second smallest percentage of people with limited English proficiency; the lowest percent of people without a vehicle or who rent; and the third smallest percentages of people with less than a high school education and low-to-no income.
